HPMC PRICE KEEPS GROWING
As the PO(propylene oxide) factories are under the production restriction or the maintaining,the price grew from ¥9500($1387) per ton on July 19,2019 to ¥11050($1613) per ton on August 14,2019.
And the demand does not reduce, the price as estimated will keep increasing.
PO is one of the main raw materials for HPMC(hydroxypropyl Methyl cellulose)(one ton of HPMC cost around 310KG of PO).
So the HPMC price grows up too.
What’s more, because of environmental pollution control and safety inspection, about 50% HPMC factories does not work, the supplying is in shortage. The average price in China increased ¥1000($146) to ¥2000($292) per ton during last 20days.
In Sept, the hot selling season on construction raw materials will come soon.The market demands more. However, 2019 is the celebrating year for 90years since 1949 P.R.China set up. In Sept,2019, Hebei province around Beijing will stop all of cellulose ethers’-manufacturing.So the supply will be more tight.So the price will more higher.
